Having worked in the fashion industry for many years, I saw first hand how unsustainable fashion can be. I have always loved making my own clothing and I started to try and make almost all of my garments, limiting any new purchases as much as possible.
I found I was constantly being asked where the dresses I wore were from and how someone could buy. This started to give me the confidence to think that there could be space for a small sustainable brand in the huge fashion market place.
It took a little while to work out my place within this sphere, but as I have always enjoyed the challenge of using materials that already exist to make something unexpectedly beautiful, I decided to push this forward and base Studio Spokes around this idea.
Now I am so pleased I am able to make one off beautiful pieces using vintage materials and textiles I source myself. Everything is done in house, from sourcing materials to pattern cutting, sewing to packing up all your lovely orders, and I love the whole process.
Currently I am offering some ready made garments, which are ready to buy as seen, but I also offer custom orders if you cannot see the style you would like in the size you want. I have some available fabrics to select yourself in the Custom Order section or please send me a message if you would like something more bespoke or you need a hand with your order.
